Betta & Spencer

Soon after Betta & Spencer were engaged, they decided to have the wedding in Tuscany. Betta grew up in Florence, and they both felt this wedding would likely be the only opportunity to share her home with all of their loved ones. When the couple came across Villa di Bivigliano, an 18th century villa right outside of Florence, they immediately knew it was the right choice. The gorgeous view & surrounding hills showcased Tuscany’s natural beauty, yet still felt intimate and personal.

in her own words…

“Spencer & I met on the third day of college orientation, precisely one week after I’d moved to NYC from Florence, Italy. My roommate and I were determined to find our core group of friends that evening, and after some stalking, we befriended a group of fellow freshmen outside of a subway station. Spencer was standing there quietly…so quietly that I thought he must’ve been an international student as well because he did not say a word.

Eventually he did speak, and we started dating shortly after. We have been together ever since. Seven years after that first encounter, Spencer led me right past that same subway stop on campus, got down on one knee, and proposed.”

THE VIVIENNE GOWN | Betta had loved Alexandra’s gowns from the very first collection, and through the years had taken a mental note of every gown she’d like to try when the time came. Each one she tried looked & felt incredible, but something about Vivienne was different. The clean lines of the bodice and playfulness of the embroidered, full skirt were the perfect combination.

“Not only did I feel beautiful in Vivienne, I felt at ease, comfortable in my own skin…confident. My friends even noticed the difference, and told me my smile widened the second I put it on. I wasn’t planning on wearing a veil, but the Signature Veil ended up being the perfect, last minute addition.”
