Bridal FAQ

Where are Alexandra Grecco gowns made?

All of our gowns are proudly designed and made in NYC using high quality laces and intricate embroidery produced in England and France. Upon completion, all gowns are thoroughly quality checked to ensure all pieces are in excellent condition.

What is the price range of Alexandra Grecco gowns?

Our gowns start at $2,000 and go up to $6,000 USD. The cost of our gowns will differ from country to country depending on exchange rates, shipping, and  import duties/taxes. Please email your closest retailer for more details or info@alexandragrecco.com.

What is a Trunk Show?

A Trunk Show is a special in-store event, typically on weekends and lasting three days, where you can view and buy the latest Alexandra Grecco collection in its entirety, as well as select best sellers from previous seasons (sometimes even before the new collection has hit stores).  If you find the perfect gown at a Trunk Show, be prepared to make a decision that day, as the gown may not be at that location once the weekend is over. Additionally, all of our gowns are 10% off during trunk shows!

**All gowns are still made to order at trunk shows. You will not be able to purchase anything off the rack.

What size gowns do you carry?

All gowns are produced according to our US size chart, which ranges from  00-20.  Most women don’t fall exactly into a size, so some of our gowns are even available to order in split sizing, such as a size 6 bust/waist and size 10 hip. Bridal sizing does run a bit differently than standard street sizing, so we always recommend visiting one of our retailers to ensure all measurements are taken properly.

How do I know what size to order?

Your stylist can definitely help you make this decision. All retailers have been provided with size charts and the necessary information to make a confident and informed decision. If our retailers would like a second opinion, we encourage them to contact us. Our team will be happy to assist in the sizing process.

What is the ordering process, and how far in advance do I need to place my order?

Once you have chosen your perfect gown, our stockists will ask for a  50% non-refundable deposit. Our standard production time is 16-18 weeks. This involves the ordering of fabric, construction, and quality check of your gown.  From there, we allow about 2-4 weeks for shipping to your retailer, dependent on the location. Additionally, we always recommend allotting 8 weeks for alterations. With this timeline, we suggest ordering your gown 7-9 months before you wedding to guarantee an easy and stress-free process.

Can I order AG bridal gowns online or purchase directly?

We process all bridal orders through our stockists, and we can put you in contact with your nearest retailer. That way, you can try on the gown and have measurements taken. If the closest boutique does not carry the style you have your heart set on, your stylist can reach out to our team to coordinate a loan. Because all of our gowns are made to order, they are not available to purchase online.

Are rush orders an option?

If your wedding date is sooner than our standard production time (16 weeks), there are rush options available for an additional fee.  We are typically able to accommodate shorter lead times on all silk gowns, but sometimes embroidered styles require a bit more time.  The boutique you are working with can discuss all of  your options.

Can I order swatches to see color options?

Yes! Our boutiques have swatch booklets that will show you all of our fabrications in every color that we offer. If you’ve purchased your gown and now need to make sure your shoes and bridesmaid’s dresses coordinate,  your stylist can order you a swatch to take home with you.

Will I need alterations?

Your stylist will order the dress as close to your current size as possible, based on both the sample that you try on in store and  your current body measurements. All dresses will require alterations to give you a perfect fit, though. Most boutiques have recommended tailors who are familiar with our styles and can guide you through this process.

How should I store and take care of my Alexandra Grecco gown?

Proper storage of wedding gowns is very important to ensure that the original appearance of the gown is preserved and that damage is prevented. It is important to select a storage area that is cool, dark, dry and free from heat and moisture.
Alexandra Grecco will send all bridal orders in  breathable garment bags . Please ensure you keep your gown in this bag before the wedding for preservation. After the big day, we suggest having your gown dry-cleaned prior to storage as watermarks and perspiration can yellow over time.
