Frequently Asked Questions

Before you shop…

Where are Alexandra Grecco gowns made?

All of our gowns are proudly designed and made NYC. We source some of the finest quality fabrics from England, France and Italy and develop custom hand-embroideries with our mill in India. Our team works closely with our factory in Manhattan’s Garment District, overseeing the production of our pieces from start to finish. Upon completion, our gowns are thoroughly quality checked in our studio by our AG team to ensure all pieces are perfect before being sent to you.

Where can I buy an Alexandra Grecco gown?

Our gowns are available to purchase at our stockists. We are currently available in over 60 locations around the world. View our list of stockists here.

Do all stores carry all of your styles?

Each of our stockists carry a selection from many of our collections. We recommend reaching out to the boutique where you plan to shop to make sure they carry the piece you are looking to try on. If the closest stockist does not carry the style you have your heart set on, your stylist can reach out to our team to coordinate a loan.

What is the price range of Alexandra Grecco gowns?

Our gowns range from approximately $2,500 to $7,800 USD with the majority falling somewhere between $2,700 and $4,200. Please note that the cost of our gowns may differ depending location due to exchange rates, shipping, and import duties/taxes.

What is a Trunk Show?

A trunk show is a special in-store event with our retailers, where you can view our latest collections in their entirety. These events typically last three days and are best for those who are ready to “say yes!” and want to see everything we offer before making a final decision. You won’t want to miss out when one is happening in your area! View our upcoming trunk shows here. *All gowns are still made-to-order at trunk shows. You will not be able to purchase anything off the rack.

What size gowns do you carry?

We can make any size! Our standard size chart is true to street sizing and ranges from 00-20, however, we happily offer a made-to-measure option if you measure above a size 20.  Most women don’t fall exactly into a straight size, so we offer a split-sizing option. This means that if you are measuring a size 10 bust, 8 waist and 12 hip, we will adjust our patterns to fit YOU.

We highly recommend visiting one of our wonderful stockists to ensure they are able to take your measurements properly and answer any questions you may have.

Can I order AG bridal gowns online or purchase directly?

We process all bridal orders through our stockists. That way, you can try on the gown and have measurements taken. Because all of our gowns are made-to-order, they are not available to purchase online. However, a selection of our bridal accessories are available online.

When you’re ready to purchase…

How far in advance do I need to place my order?

Our production timeline is 20 weeks. Additionally, we always recommend allotting 8 weeks for alterations. With this timeline, we suggest ordering your gown 7-9 months before your wedding to guarantee an easy and stress-free process.

If your wedding date is sooner than our standard production time (20 weeks), there are rush options available for an additional fee. The boutique you are working with can discuss all of your options.

How do I know what size to order?

Your stylist can definitely help you make this decision. All retailers have been provided with size charts and the necessary information to make a confident and informed decision. If our retailers would like a second opinion, we encourage them to contact us. Our team will be happy to assist in the sizing process.

Will I need alterations?

Your stylist will order the dress as close to your current size as possible, based on both the sample that you try on in store and  your current body measurements. All dresses will require alterations to give you a perfect fit, though. Most boutiques have recommended tailors who are familiar with our styles and can guide you through this process.

How should I store and take care of my Alexandra Grecco gown?

Proper storage of wedding gowns is very important to ensure that the original appearance of the gown is preserved and that damage is prevented. It is important to select a storage area that is cool, dark, dry and free from heat and moisture. Our team will send all bridal orders in breathable garment bags. Please ensure you keep your gown in this bag before the wedding for preservation. After the big day, we suggest having your gown spot-cleaned at a bridal specific cleaner prior to storage as watermarks and perspiration can yellow over time.

Do you ever have sample sales?

A few times a year, we offer a curated assortment of gently worn samples, discontinued styles or bridal orders with slight flaws both online and in-person, called AG Again. Offering these near-perfect gowns at a discount ensures they can be worn and celebrated and is the perfect solution for budget and/or eco-conscious brides. Follow us on Instagram for updates.
